Not everyone can afford a big industrial printer that copies at one hundred sheets per minute and collates everything for you. It is also true that not everyone can afford a color printer or a good quality photo printer. The exchange for one kind of printer is often needed because many of the small cheap version printers do not come with all the options. As technology grows and products become smaller and more mobile the time will come for laptop computer accessories like the portable laser printer to be able to do everything for you and be taken anywhere you travel.

Soon it may even be possible for a mobile phone to print small data onto a short piece of paper if need be however we are reaching an age where paper waste is being reduced. Companies run on the internet have all their files backed up on the computer hard drive and if they are smart have the information backed up in a second or even third storage place. These companies do not need printers because they are essentially paperless.

There are now small printers that are wireless, portable have blue tooth technology and can be used for more than just printing. Companies like HP, Brother, Epson, Canon and others are making improvements to their stocks before they can even get them out to the public. But they do hide some innovation secrets because they want to release then the next year to keep the public waiting and the marketing plans working to full effect. I am still waiting for the model printer that will bring me a cup of coffee and a donut for morning tea and then lock up for me as I leave for home. No such luck yet, but soon, maybe, how knows?
